Norwood is a Adelaide suburb that is famous for a number of reason, not least because of the Norwood football club that has won 30 premierships. The name of the suburb actually is derived from the town of the same name in London. The suburb was included as a domicile of Adelaide in 1847.
It traditionally was a working class area with a high population of migrants creating a thriving multi-cultural community post World War 2.
